Locate a friend in Find My on iPhone

When a friend shares their location with yous, you can use the Discover My app to locate them on a map.

The Find My screen open to the People list. There are four people in the list: Ashley Rico, Will Rico, Dawn Ramirez, and Olivia Rico. Their locations are shown on a map of San Francisco.

See the location of a friend

Tap People at the bottom of the screen, so tap the name of the person you lot want to locate.

If your friend can be located: They appear on a map and so y'all tin run into where they are.
If your friend tin't exist located: You lot meet "No location found" under their proper name.
If you lot aren't following your friend: You meet "Can see your location" under their proper name. You can ask to see a friend's location.

You tin can also enquire Siri to locate a friend who has shared their location with yous.

Contact a friend

Tap People at the bottom of the screen, so tap the name of the person you want to contact.

Get directions to a friend

You can become directions to a friend's current location in the Maps app .

Tap People at the bottom of the screen, then tap the proper name of the person you desire to get directions to.

Gear up a label for a friend's location

You can ready a label for a friend'south current location to make it more meaningful (like Home or Work). The characterization appears below your friend's proper noun when they're at that location.

Tap People at the bottom of the screen, and so tap the name of the person you lot want to gear up a location label for.

To remove a friend from your Favorites, swipe left and tap the star, or tap the friend, then tap Remove [proper name] from Favorites.
